Dear Phil,

Thank you for sharing us your experience. The IP Address is African and probably Nigerian. I strongly recommend you to report this to abuse so that they could close your account to prevent the Nigerian spammer to contact your friends.

I am sure you already have but if not, if you have another address book that contains your contacts on your Hotmail and Facebook account that were hacked, it would be really great if you could notify all of them about this and tell them to disregard the mails and that everything is not true for your accounts were hacked and if they could possibly give their time of day, to mark or report them as spam or as a hacker.

On Facebook, it would need more than one person to report a Facebook account to be hacked and for them to take action.
I hope this helps you Phil and I hope everything works out.

Sincerely,
Webmaster

Can you hack Hotmail?

Lately I seen some girls complain about their ex boyfriend have hacked their hotmail account.

Sure I mean everything is open to hack if you give it enough time and computer power. But the pissed off ex boyfriend or girlfriend can probably not do it.

They probably sneaked out your password before you broke up or maybe they even created your password for you back when you met.

There are also programs that show all the saved passwords on a computer and anybody can download them for a few dollars. They will show all the **** from the most common chat program and you can also go to Firefox/options and show password.

But the chance that he or she really hacked your account is very slim indeed. You also leave traces when you trying to brute force something and his or hers IP address should be all over the place. Remember he is not trying to hack your hotmail he is also trying to hack Microsoft as a company and that is a serious offence. Gmail will show the IP addresses that logged in to your account so please check them sometimes you might be surprised on what you find.
