Dear Debbie,

Thank you for sharing us your story. There sure are a lot of internet scam around and we are very glad that you found us and chose to entrust us with your problem. These internet renegades should definitely be reported to the FBI so that they could be traced and apprehended. However sending a report to abuse@domainname.com would also help shut down the account.

As much as possible, do not open mails from this e-mail address. Most likely I am sure you know when you are expecting a parcel or not to be delivered to you or that you missed any. I know this would be a bit inconvenient on your part but it is the best option thus far.

These spam mails are very tricky like that and that’s how they get to fool people because they could let themselves look like legitimate e-mails just so you would open them.
Sincerely,

Webmaster

From:
Debbie

Message:
I recieved and email from this email address:
UPS Parcel Delivery [client@ups.com]
When I select reply this is the email address that appears
fungicidesyrq7@rathi.com
This happened one other time and when I opened it thinking it was from
UPS I contracted a computer virus. Below is the what is in the body of
the UPS email. Not sure who to report this to, so I surfed the
internet and found your site.

Good afternoon.

Your parcel has arrived at the post office on October 7. Our Driver
was unable to deliver the parcel to your address.
To receive a parcel you must go to the nearest UPS office and show
your mailing label.
Mailing label is attached to this letter.

You need to print mailing label, and show it in UPS office to receive
the parcel.

Thank you for your attention.

I have seen an email that almost fooled me and pass the email filters as well. The good thing is that I have many email accounts and since the spammers always send many spam emails when I got more than one I know it is a spam.

The Email is about a contract and that you should get money for something. You should open the contract and they will send you money. You should off course not open any zip or word file someone sends you. The email written in very general terms so almost anybody can be a target and that the danger for people not so used to these kind of threats.

If they can almost fool me, they can for sure fool average Joe.

Our lawyers made alterations on the last page. If you agree with all the provisions we are ready to make the payment on Friday for the first consignment.
We are enclosing the file with the prepared contract.
If necessary, we can send it by fax.
Looking forward to your decision.

Facebook have warned that some groups are sending out emails with a zip files asking people to click and reset the password on Facebook. This is off course not true Facebook would never send you an email asking you to open a zip file or reset the password. If you still not sure if the email come from Facebook or not you can go to the website online and ask to reset your password. You will get a new email with a code to your cell phone or email. Do not click on any link from the email with the zip just type in Facebook.com in the internet browser.

If the email comes from a Hotmail, Yahoo Gmail account you can return the email to “abuse” at email provider and tell them about the fake email.
