How to avoid domain fraud

A way for domain scammers to get your money is to trick you into they are selling domain and it’s a valued offer. Since the domain scammers not actually doing anything illegal it is difficult to press charges they just sell you over priced domains.

They many different scripts and programs in place to send you spam letters daily and customers in EU and USA can be sure they will get normal mail as well.
These domain scammers can survive because most people do not know how to register a domain and they trust people when they trying to sell them something they want.

An email that the people that commit domain fraud can look like this:

Hello,

I’m Kathy Wolfe, an Internet developer from Washington, D.C. I’m
writing to let you know that I am making the domain name
internetspampolice.com/.net available for acquisition for below market value. I
noticed that you own a related name and thought you might be
interested.

If you would like to consider acquiring internetspampolice.com.net please reply
to this message with interest no later than Tuesday. I
would be happy to discuss a price that suits your budget. I should
note that this domain name is for sale on a nonexclusive, first-purchased basis.

Thank you for taking the time to read this message. I remain
available to answer any questions you might have.
